Cost of Baseball and Division Descriptions


Rally Cap 5U:  Registration Fee $130

Baseball skills for players who will be aged 4 to 5 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. The emphasis here is FUN! The fundamentals of baseball are introduced. The proper way to throw a baseball, holding and swinging a bat, running bases plus many more skills your child will use for a lifetime are introduced to the kids in a fun and informative manner.  During the season parents play a big part in assisting the coaches with the development of their child's skills. Want to have your young baseball player learn the fundamentals of baseball? Rally Cap 7U:  Registration Fee $160

Recreational baseball for players who will be age 6 or 7 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. 

Utilizing all the skills and rules learned from Ball School, 7U baseball introduces gameplay. Coaches do all the pitching for the first half of the season. During the second half, the players learn and do a limited amount of pitching during each game. Teams in this division will play against themselves.  The basic program layout is designed for teams to be on the field twice a week for 1.5 hours first 45 minutes is practice/skill development followed by a 45-minute game.

 

9U Minor:  Registration Fee $160

Recreational baseball for players who will be aged 8 to 9 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. Utilizing all the skills and rules learned from 7U, 9U baseball introduces a smooth transition into the 11U division. We will introduce players to pitching in this division. Teams will practice twice a week in June, then one practice & one game a week in July. If players are comfortable pitching to one another at this point, in August they will play two games per week. However, if more development is required they will continue with the one practice one game per week format.  Teams in this division will play in a Dartmouth District league and may decide to compete in tournaments during the season.

 

9U Major:  Registration Fee $160

Recreational baseball for players who will be aged 8 to 9 between January 1 and December 31 of each season, however, this program is designed for the advancing players within the age group.  Players selected for this cohort will be determined after several 9U balancing sessions.  The concept of "real games" is introduced at the onset of the season.  Modifications should be expected around pitching.  There is an emphasis placed on development and players will rotate through all positions throughout the season. 9U Major teams play games in a DDMBA Rec League with regular weekly practice times scheduled each week.

 

11U:  Registration Fee $230

Baseball for players who will be age 10 or 11 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. The concept of base stealing with no "leading off" is introduced at the 11U level and players do all the pitching. 11U rep teams compete in the Baseball Nova Scotia Bluenose League and generally participate in 3-4 tournaments during the baseball season.  11U rec teams play in the DDMBA Rec League and have two games per week. 11U rec teams may decide to compete in a few tournaments during the baseball season.

 

12U Girls Competitive:  Registration Fee $230

Baseball for girls who will be age 11 or 12 between January 1 and December 31 of each season.  12U rep teams compete in the Baseball Nova Scotia Bluenose League and generally participate in several tournaments during the baseball season. 

 

13U:  Registration Fee $250

Baseball for players who will be age 12 or 13 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. The concept of stealing bases is in full force at this level by allowing base runners to "lead-off". Pitchers are also called for balks. Rep teams compete in the Baseball Nova Scotia Bluenose League and generally participate in 3-4 tournaments during the baseball season.  13U rec teams play in the DDMBA Rec League and have two games per week. 13U rec teams may decide to compete in a few tournaments during the baseball season.

 

15U:  Registration Fee:  $270

Baseball for players who will be age 14 or 15 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. All the rules of baseball are in full effect. Rep teams compete in the Baseball Nova Scotia Bluenose League and generally participate in 3-4 tournaments during the baseball season. 15U rec teams generally play in the DDMBA Rec League. 15U rec teams may decide to compete in a few tournaments during the baseball season.

 

18U:  Registration Fee:  $300

Baseball for players who will be aged 16 to 18 between January 1 and December 31 of each season. All the rules of baseball are in full effect. Rep teams compete in the Baseball Nova Scotia Bluenose League and generally participate in 3-4 tournaments during the baseball season. 18U rec teams generally play in the DDMBA Rec League. 18U rec teams may decide to compete in a few tournaments during the baseball season.
